Oh yes, that is right people, I actually forgot about this blog. Now, I know I've never been a committed blogger, I'm trying to be, but I do know I'm scattered brained and mostly have 100s of things to do and only do about 10 of them. However, I really do regret not writing here more often. Why, you might ask? Well, really I do like blogging about myself. I consider myself as somewhat of a narcissist and I like to rant quite a lot. But, I did commit myself to making some cash online, so that grabbed my focus and I ran with it. I've been super busy with my real day job, yes I'm still there. As much as I bitch and moan about my clothing retail job.....I must feel some attachment, since I'm still employed there. I've had the opportunity to leave and yet and still...I'm there. Plus I've found Break Studios and Hubpages to be very exciting.
Break Studios and eHow have become my two main sources of income online for the past several months. eHow is still paying me a nice amount for my collection of articles, even though there is no longer any WCP at eHow. I've hit $200 a month for the month of November. It could be more, if I had tweaked articles and edited keywords and what not. However, I'm really scared to even touch eHow since I am no longer in the WCP, as it closed down. I know they 'say' you can edit. However, I don't want to risk the whole 'clean sweep' thing since they've been edited again. They've made it this long...I'm sure they will survive. It's really sweet now though, I don't even do anything anymore and still watch the money roll in.
I LOVE PASSIVE INCOME! Break Studios is working nicely for me, simply because it's easy and fast and it's 8 bucks an article. I know I could be getting more, but it takes less time to write an article for BS than it does anywhere else and make that kind of money for jotting down a few ideas and spell checking in between. Call me shallow.
Hubpages has also been a nice challenge for me. It's so different from eHow or any other writing site. I have since learned about affiliate marketing and I'm dabbling in that. I also find Hubpages amazing for the layout of each 'hub' or 'capsule'....whatever you want to call it. It's a free way to write about what you want...when you want...and not worry about editing or anything else. Plus, I have made some money off of Amazon so far. BUT, I haven't had any hits off of Google. I only have 29 articles, so I need to push more. Not what I was hoping for by now, but life isn't planned either. So in all, I'd say 2010 wasn't a bad year for my income online. I'm planning on focusing on Hubpages much more in the new year.
And for my blog, yes, it needed a makeover and I really like the layout. This one is a keeper. I feel so guilty for forgetting about this blog. I'm amazed I have MORE followers than I did before. Thanks for reading my crazy-talk.
