Well, it's that time of the year to start working on my "bikini body" and so, I've decided to do the Evangeline Lilly (Kate from Lost) work out.

There are a few reasons why. Number one...she's amazingly fit and healthy. Secondly, she has amazing arms - which I want -- I wear A LOT of tank tops throughout the year. And Thirdly, I have the same body type so I just need a little toning. She's a runner - so I've got that down. I'm a runner however ------------
her work out seems simple but once you start OMG....it's hard.
http://www.womenshealthmag.com/fitness/workout-for-great-arms < that's the actual exercises she performs EVERYDAY 6 times a week combined with 45 minutes of running A DAY.
I've been doing this work out exactly for 3 days now, and WOW. I have muscles in my body I had NO clue I had. Everything hurts. I hate lunges, I hate push-ups. However, I forgot how HARD real push-ups are to do. I can do the "girly" push ups on your knees -- not on your tip toes and push down. It's friggin hard. I only weight 120 and can barely push up my own body weight. I'm working on this. 6 - 8 weeks of this workout combined with running will give me somewhat of Evangeline Lilly's arms and abs. I'm devoted to this. I was bored with my running routine, so this spices it up....but wow - right now - my whole body hurts so bad.
I gotta say this - she has to be committed to working out to do this everyday. Running 45 minutes and THEN those exercises has kicked my butt in 3 days and I thought I was in pretty good shape. All the exercises are "core" workouts which works EVERYTHING in your body at the same time. EK. However, it is GREAT for my back, since I need to strengthen my core muscles to keep my scoliosis at bay. My back hurts everyday, all day usually. Exercising seems to help the pain go away. I will keep posting my progress each week, if only to keep motivating myself and re-read my own posts. It's almost summer, so I want to wear a bikini and not feel awkward. I just keep thinking, "I think I can...I think I can..." LMAO.
Wish me luck =) My weekly work out report will be posted to remind myself WHY I started this whole thing.
